Cooking “Bilo-bilo” was a fun activity the children and I had fun making and eating together. Pinaltok or Bilo-bilo is a Filipino dessert made of small glutinous balls in coconut milk and sugar. Then jackfruit, sweet bananas, sweet potatoes, taro, and tapioca pearls or sago are added. Bilo-bilo's origin is in Luzon, which is the northern Philippines Island.
Making “Bilo-bilo” is like playing play dough , initially I demonstrated it to our happy learners until eventually with confidence they ended up making lots of “bilo- bilo”. The children listened and followed my instructions , as we created our “Ginataang Bilo-bilo”. “Yummy!” Snack food .
